I love CNN. I think it is the best news channel. Because it explains things well to stupid, uneducated people like me. People who have difficulties to understand what is going on in this world.
It is important to catch all the issues. Thank's to Piers Morgan's "Tonight", we all know now that Charlie Sheen has problems. They seems to be huge, because in Morgan's show, they talked for days about it.
CNN is a global channel. And they want the people to know it. That is why they show their "Connect" and "Go Beyond Borders" spot about every 10 minutes. For us (for stupid me) to understand.
The nicest thing about CNN is that they show us that the world has not many problems really. Only one, at any given time. Yesterday, we had during one hour "Breaking News" on the earthquake in Japan. I got all the details needed. They showed the tsunami waves and the devastating effects. They showed the water flowing cars away. Unfortunately, they showed this only 3 or 4 times, so I did not have the chance to count the number of cars.
I then went for a shower and had dinner. Then I switched my TV on again and there was another CNN show making "Breaking News". I was very comforted because again, I saw the same pictures and videos and now I really had understood what was happening. So, I went to sleep, satisfied.
And this morning, drinking my coffee, I was so happy. There seems to be no problems anymore anywhere. The only problem in the world is the earthquake in Japan. I was well informed again about it.
I still could not count the cars washed away. But I can tell you that it is the same number.
I love CNN, they show me how stupid I am. But they do a good job educating me.
NA!!
PS. CNN is the only channel I have on my TV. The landlord did not renew the TV subcription yet. People, soon I will be graduated.
I am a man of this world. And this world belongs to me. Come to my world. I talk about anything, about you, about me. Because I love this world. And you, the people living in this world. What I write will sometimes be serious and sometimes not. Probably, most of the times not.

One can learn a lot from TV, sometimes good, and sometimes not so good.
Hope your Landlord will soon have the TV subscription renewed, I don't know if I could live on only a steady diet of CNN.
Stay safe Peter
lol
Unfortunately news is geared for people who can watch at different times in case you missed it the first time. Japan is teaching a very good lesson to the world with regard to nuclear power plants. Man is arrogant and forces the building of these things and then nature humbles man and shows him otherwise.I never like building something that will kill me or make me wish I were dead for a little electricity I can live without electricity but not my skin.
But then it seems according to Jesse Ventura, the Bilderbergs and some other secret group, want only 500,000,000 million people to survive on the planet so they can be controlled. Anything to destroy the immune system or to to make sure people can't bear children, and natural disasters will do to obtain the desired results. Makes what people are doing to help people seem futile. lol
Anderson Cooper annoys me because he never lets people talk. It's more about what he thinks than what the other people are trying to say and this is not right. Why interview them then? As a viewer I want to hear what the other person is saying. I know what he thinks.
I have a student who uses CNN to improve her English. She saids it makes her head spin sometimes. You can only be in one place at once. I wonder what happened to the rest of the news..
Hello Peter. This is a blast from the past. I hope you remember me. Took a very looooong break from blogging but I think I am ready to jump back in. I only have the one blog but shall incorporate my positive posties as I did in Finding Life's Enchantments.
Take care my friend. :)
I'm not a big fan of CNN anymore. They seem to have lost an objectivity they may have once possessed and that is probably why their ratings are in the tank. Interesting post, though.

Peter,
I'm not liking the news I hear about what's going on where you are (CNN or no CNN) stay safe my friend
The one problem I have about CNN is that they keep repeating the same story all day long...loke a broken record...no creativity there...and yes you are right...they're making darn sure we understand, very well, what the one and only problem the world is facing today is....lol...like you I am so dumb...because it takes me a while to understand exactly what that problem is....does anyone know what CNN stands for? ...Chiken News Network...! Voila.
Charlie Sheen has problems? Since when? Did I miss something?
