I wish you all, my dear Friends, a very Happy New Year. May it be filled with love, joy, health and happiness.

In Between Days

We are in between Christmas and New Years Eve. A period where I am torn between joy and sadness.

Joy because of being with the family, except for the son who is flying around somewhere. Being together, have a nice meal and talk about millions of things.

Sadness because I think of all those people in the world who do not have the luck to have a good life. Like children who did not get a gift, like refugees living away from their places, like......

Now, the "In Between Days" are the boring period of the year. Recovering from Christmas, we prepare now for the New Year Celebration.

Do we need a cure? The best cure is to listen to "In Between Days" of "The Cure".

The New Year Eve celebration for me will be a simple one.

Earlier in my life, I went out to party. And came (most of the time) home at daybreak in a non presentable state. With a big need of Alka Seltzer. And then, as years went by, I started to cool down. And today, I am in such a condition that I barely can stay up until midnight. And if this happens again this year, I simply will go to bed.

I can give the New Years wishes to my wife the next morning. And tell her that I love her. Which I can do any day of the year.

Merry Christmas

My dear friends anywhere in this world, I wish you all a Merry Christmas, with a lot of peace and love.

Vas-y, bouges tes fesses

The title of my post: Buddy, move your bum!

I have not been serious about posting the last few weeks. And I have not been serious at all about following and commenting on my friends blogs. That is not like me. OK, I am not a very organised person, but I, normally and basically, succeed doing things.

From now, I will move my bum again.

I have been doing a lot of futile things and turning around in circles. But I also have been busy with serious things. I have written to organisations and companies to offer my services as a consultant. And I am now in the databases (serious ones) of about 15 organisations and companies who will call me. It is a bit particular because I only want short term assignments.

And then, my agency still has me on the roaster. I even had to make a training course for rapid response in case of an emergency coming up. Where they will call me to leave withing 24 hours.

And last week I was busy. The Montreux Christmas market is on since end of November until Christmas. It is a beautiful event and people are coming from far to visit.

I was selling Christmas tea in the "Wood Choppers Log Cabin". It is nicely spiced tea. A cup cost one dollar. If you want a shot of rum in it, you pay 3 dollars and if you like the double shot of rum it will be five dollars.

Not that I wanted the people to get drunk, but arguing that the weather was cold, I was quite succesful selling double shots.

This year's guest of honor is Russia. They put up a restaurant with Russian food. Where vodka is flowing. So, for certain, the people are not suffering with cold, Russian vodka and my Christmas tea helping. The good thing is that most of the people are coming with public transport. Which just underwent its yearly time schedule change and is offering 14 % more trains and busses. They do that every year.

Now, the festive season is on, but I will be online. Regularly.

Because I am moving my bum.
